The Process
Each child presents with unique needs and symptoms. After gathering information from the family, Dr. Crispinelli will advise the type of evaluation needed to answer the specific referral questions and inform interventions.
The evaluation consists of approximately 6-8 hours of face-to-face testing time. The complexity of the evaluation will determine the number and length of test sessions necessary. This can range from two to four sessions.
Measures that assess intellectual abilities, academic performance, attention, executive functions, learning and memory, visual-spatial skills and social, emotional, and adaptive functioning will be utilized.
An initial interview with parents will take place as well as a parent feedback session after testing has been completed. The parent feedback session consists of reviewing the testing results. A comprehensive report will follow which includes an explanation of the test results, any subsequent diagnoses, and individualized recommendations for interventions.
